London, March 31: Impressive incidents attended the Evensong at St. Paul’s Cathedral, it being the occasion of the last service under the Dome prior to the closing of the eastern part for the work of preservation which is estimated to take six years. The services in the meantime will be held in the western end of the nave and St. Dunstan’s chapel. The organ will no longer be in use, but part of it may be temporarily moved and re-erected and the high Altar may also be moved temporarily to the centre of the nave. The Cathedral can now accommodate a thousand only instead of seven thousand normally.
