Karachi, April 17: Men of the Carriage and Locomotive workshops on the North-Western Railway in Karachi came out on strike at noon to-day.

Lahore, April 17: The strike on the North-Western Railway continues, and the men who left work at Rawalpindi, Kundian, Khanewal, Lalamusa and Lahore are still holding out. The Secretary, Karachi Railway Union, has sent a notice by wire on the 16th April to the Agent, North Western Railway, intimating him that the Karachi Local Carriage Shop and Running Shed will “down” their tools on the 17th April after 12 noon.
