London, April 15: Two hundred boy-messengers of the Eastern Telegraph Company, London, have struck work on the ground that their employment is in the nature of a blind alley occupation and demand guarantees of promotion on increase to a maximum wage of 29s. 10d. per week by 8s. The strikers have refused to hand in their uniforms and declare they do not intend to surrender their jobs. It is understood that the Company have refused their demands and will dismiss the messengers as a body. Volunteers are delivering messages which have not been delayed.
