Madras, Feb. 17: The New Sailing Club, which has been shifted from the Boat Basin to the South Quay of the Madras Harbour, was opened by his Excellency Viscount Goschen yesterday evening. After cruising in the harbour from the anchor steps for a little while, His Excellency opened the Sailing Club. There was a large and distinguished gathering present on the occasion including the Vicountess Goschen, His Excellency the Rear Admiral Richmond, Naval Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Anderson Stuart of R.M.S. “Southampton” Col. Balfour and a number of members of the Sailing Club.
